# Billing and plans (/settings/billing)

Go to **Settings → Billing** to view the workspace plan and how it is billed. Billing is available to admins and the owner. Other teammates see a message asking them to contact an admin or the owner.

## Plans [#plans]

Every Keel HQ plan includes every feature. The order volume is a soft trailing three-month average, so it is not a hard cap for one busy month.

Yearly billing costs the equivalent of 10 monthly payments, or two months free. Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial, and a card is required to begin it.

## How billing works [#how-billing-works]

Workspaces that sign up directly are billed through Stripe. If no plan is active, choose a **Plan** and **Billing period** (**Monthly** or **Yearly**), then choose **Choose a plan** to open Stripe checkout.

When a plan is active, the card shows its status and relevant trial, renewal or cancellation date. Choose **Change plan** to move to a higher plan, or **Manage billing** to open the Stripe billing portal.

If a payment is past due, Keel HQ says that payment needs attention and continues access while Stripe retries the payment.

Workspaces that installed through the Shopify App Store are billed on the Shopify invoice. The plan card shows the plan status and last time Keel HQ checked it with Shopify.

Choose **Check with Shopify** to refresh that status. Choose **Choose a plan** when there is no active plan, or **Change plan** when there is one; both open Shopify's plan page.

## No active Shopify plan [#no-active-shopify-plan]

A Shopify-billed workspace without an active plan opens a billing screen instead of the dashboard. The screen can say:

- **Choose a plan to continue** when a plan must be selected.
- **We couldn't confirm your plan** when Keel HQ cannot check Shopify.
- **Reconnect your Shopify store** when the app is no longer installed on that store.

Admins can choose a plan from that screen. Other teammates can refresh the check or switch to another workspace they already belong to.
